Is 40 minutes enough for an album?
Some long, sprawling post-rock or prog releases feel short if they go under 60 minutes. Depends on genre, depends on if the artist can pull off longer releases well. Most of my favorite albums hover about the 40-45 minute mark so I won’t argue with you there that it’s a good rule of thumb.
