What’s up with Google Play Music?

In December 2020, Google Play Music stopped functioning. In addition, the last day users could download or transfer their data from Google Play Music to YouTube Music was February 24, 2021. After this date, all data from the music library was permanently wiped out with no way to access it again.

Why did they discontinue Google Music?

They even allowed customers subscribed to Google Music to have access to the YouTube premium content, and vice versa. And that’s one of the things that led to Google Play Music’s shut-down. After all, there wasn’t much point in making two of their paid services compete against each other.

How do I fix my Google Play Music?





Try restarting your device & login in again to your Google account so that it gets synced properly. Check Google Account Sync Setting: Go to Settings > Accounts > Google & tap on the Account you have used to purchase music from Google Play Music. Make sure you have enabled sync from there for your Google Play music.
